Alien Swarm Dev Log #1 - Launch Day!

Hey everyone! I’m Thomas (Darkmatter1980), and today’s a big day—Alien Swarm is officially live on Itch.io! 🎉 This arcade shooter lets you blast aliens, grab power-ups, and take on epic bosses, all built from scratch by me. It’s my first game, and I’m stoked to share it with you!

What’s Done So Far

• Core gameplay: Move with arrows, shoot with Space, pause with P—works like a charm!
• Windows release: AlienSwarm.exe is up and running (87 MB download).
• Sound and visuals: Aliens explode, power-ups glow—thanks to my custom assets!

Challenges

• Figuring out GitHub pushes was a headache, but it’s sorted now!
• Balancing boss fights took some trial and error—hope you enjoy the challenge!

Next Steps

• Bug fixes based on your feedback.
• Maybe a high-score leaderboard if I get enough support!
• Future goal: macOS and Linux versions.
